Editors Note:Niagara County Community College is one of the hottest team in the Nation right now sitting at 17-2 and ranked #7 in the latest NJCAA D2 Rankings. Associate Head Coach Michael Corbi gives an update on the players from this season.

6-1 SG Jamal Pollydore – Jamal is an elite shooter and scorer who can get hot in a hurry. Despite only being 6-1 he easily slashes to the basket, draws contact and finishes over much bigger players with either hand. Extremely efficient averaging 15.8 PPG on 47% FG, 39.1% from 3 and 82.1% FT. “The microwave” has NAIA D1 offers and is being recruited by a number of NCAA D2s including U of Mary, Valdosta State, Barton and West Florida. High D2 player or LM D1 player.

6-5 SG Donel Cathcart – Donel has all the tools to be a D1 player and is already being recruited by Maine, UT-Martin, Longwood, Robert Morris and others. He is a class of 2018 scorer with a smooth shooting stroke. He carried NCCC to several victories during the first semester including a 29p 9r 5a outburst against Patrick Henry CC.

6-8 SF/PF Fausto Pichardo – This class of 2017 big is just starting to realize his potential. He had a 7ft wingspan and is very active and mobile for his size. He can use his ball-handling and quickness to go past slower defenders or post up smaller ones. If he puts on a little weight he could make a D1 school very happy. 8.5ppg on 62% FG, 6.6rpg. Being recruited by Cal Poly, Norfolk State, LIU-Brooklyn and a few D2 schools.

6-5 SF Cory Reeves – Cory is an externally explosive athlete that is great slashing to the basket or in transition. In addition to being a human highlight reel he can also hit from 3. Has D1 talent but will have to settle for D2 or NAIA due to academics.

6-0 PG Elijah Davy – Formerly Elijah McNeely had D2 offers out of high school when he attended NYC powerhouse Benjamin Cardozo. Eli is a dynamic guard with a slick handle, he routinely knifes into the lane and finishes with either hand or kicks to open shooters. He has heavy interest from and handful of NCAA D2 programs.

6-2 PG/SG LaTerrance Reed – received a D1 offer from Niagara University out of high school but turned them down. He is a freshman full qualifier with a 3.8 GPA. LTs speed and knack for scoring the ball has drawn the interest of D1 schools Maine, Hartford and D2 St. Rose so far. He would have 3 years to play if he came out after this year.

6-7 C Kofi Mills – Extremely strong post player and tough finisher around the rim. Kofi led all NYC public school players in High School with over 20 rebounds per game and has continued that dominance on the glass at NCCC. Has D2 offer from Texas A&M International and several other D2s recruiting him.

6-3 SG/SF Justin Alleyne-Washington – Lockdown defender with a great motor that also provides some offensive punch. Was offered by D2  school NYIT and has interested from several others.

6-5 C William Wilson – Built like a football player and ridiculously explosive. Would provide toughness and rebounding to the NAIA level.

5-10 PG Randy Corporan – Captained his HS team to state and federation championships on the Nationally Ranked Wings squad. Scrappy guard that gets everyone involved.

6-11 C Adam McNeill – Rim protector with 3 point range on his jump shot. Adam is a 4.0 student with NCAA D2 and NAIA D1 offers.

6-2 SG Tahleek Weekes – Another 4.0 student that provides and offensive spark. Had D2 offers in high school. Great leader, class of 2018.
