#JucoWatch: Vernon Lowndes (USC-Salkehatchie)

By: Kris Watkins

Standing at 6’5 Vernon Lowndes (USC-Salkehatchie) is everything a coach wants at the 4 year level when they are out recruiting perimeter players who can be an immediate impact.  We knew Lowndes had a chance to be something special after he attended our #JucoReportElite150 in July and he has taken that success from this summer and continued to work hard to become one of the hottest names in Junior College basketball right now.  On the year, Lowndes is averaging 19.1ppg/7.2rpg/2.8apg while scoring in a variety of ways and making his impact felt night in and night out. It is to no surprise that Lowndes phone has been ringing off the hook with his latest interest coming from Washington State, Kansas State, Colorado State, St. Bonaventure, Murray State, Duquesne, Arkansas Little Rock, UT- Martin, Valparaiso, and Illinois State. We expect Lowndes to continue to see his recruitment grow over last month of the regular season.
