Hot Start for Joe Eatmon & Bucs

By: Corry Black

Shelton State (AL) is having a great season under interim Head Coach Joe Eatmon in Tuscaloosa, AL.  Coach Eatmon is coaching this season season under the interim tag and is doing everything in his power to remove that tag. Shelton State is off to a 15- 2 record this season with some quality wins versus some tough programs. The #23 ranked Buc’s are led by Tra’Quan Knight (Freshman) 14.6ppg & Christopher Dudley (Sophomore) 11.5 ppg. Shelton State has a lot of depth including 6’9 sophomore  Trenton Clayton who has offers from tons of Division I programs, this can help them in there run to get to HUTCH, they are playing 10-12 guys every night that can really make a difference once you get in tournament play . A game to keep an eye on is Jan 23, Shelton State will face a hot #20 Marion Military team, both of these teams are loaded with talent. We look forward to following Shelton State the rest of the season and rooting for Joe Eatmon to get the interim tag removed.
