Summary of Program

Last three seasons have won 74 games and the GCAA Season Championship in 2014-15, finished 2nd in 2015-16, finished ranked 18th in the NJCAA Poll 2014-15 and 22nd in the 2015-16 NJCAA Poll.  SGSC has the second most wins in The GCAA in the last 3 years, 5 years, and most in last 8 years.  SGSC has had 3 straight NJCAA All-Americans; Qua Smith (2016-17 2nd Team), Tyrone Sam (2015-16 2nd Team), and Jovante’ Spivey (2014-15 1st Team).  SGSC has had 4 total NJCAA All-Americans in the 8 years as a program. The Hawks have had 3 straight Region 17 leading scorers. Also, SGSC has had 11 NCAA D-1 players in the 8 year period and 7 in the last 3 seasons. 62 total student-athletes have moved onto to play four year basketball in 8 seasons here.  22/23 sophomores have graduated with an associates in the last 3 years and 89% in the 8 years here. SGSC is a consistent main stay in Region 17.
